Rena Malkah, President of CYR Funding Inc. began her career in the mortgage industry in 1974. Rena is a mortgage broker and has been actively dealing with commercial and residential financing for over 37 years, assisting a variety of clients such as private investors, commercial and industrial property investors, condos and apartments for 1st, 2nd and 3rd mortgages, short term bridge loans and consolidation refinancing.

Rena was the first woman President of the Ontario Mortgage Broker’s Association in 1984, and the Education Chairman of the OMBA from 1982 to 1983. Rena authored the mathematic and commercial segments of the mortgage broker’s course curriculum that year.
Over the last three decades, Rena has been able to cultivate a substantial mortgage portfolio for CYR FUNDING INC. through residential and commercial mortgage origination. Hard work, a relentless nature, graciousness and diligence have played a large part in this achievement, however, Rena’s gregarious, and warm approach has also been extremely important in her overall success.
Rena Malkah remains a leading authority in the mortgage field, having appeared numerous times on media outlets, featured in countless print publications. She is also President of KOSHER Construction, a company which builds prestige residential homes.
Rena is a member of the Independent Mortgage Brokers Association (IMBA), licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO), the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OMBA) and can service clients in English and Greek.

Alithea Stern is an experienced and licenced mortgage broker specializing in alternative and private lending solutions on even the most difficult deals. Alithea’s introduction into the mortgage industry began over a decade ago, through the mentorship and guidance of her mother, Rena Malkah and father, Keith Watters.
Both Rena and Keith have been in the mortgage business for over four decades. Rena was the first female President of the Ontario Mortgage Broker’s Association in 1984 and has maintained the title of Top #2 mortgage broker in Canada for the last two consecutive years. Keith, a seasoned mortgage agent peppered with a knack for mentorship travelled Canada lecturing and training other professionals in the industry on various topics relating to real estate and financial success.
With big shoes to fill and reigns passed down from her parents, Alithea has forged a service-oriented business providing her clients with the best possible solutions and optimized results. Her goal is to create a seamless and easy process from application to commitment. Alithea is passionate about the mortgage business and fostering her relationships based on successes, integrity and trust. She has a great deal of tenacity and zeal in the funding industry with goals to expand and maintain the highly successful and thriving mortgage business that her parents have established.
